Description:Three Blind Mice Blu-spec CD reissue series! Limited paper sleeve edition!

Intrepid Guitarist Masayuki Takayanagi formed his group the New Direction For The Arts in 1971 with multi-reed player Kenji Mori and drummer Hiroshi Yamazaki. Percussionist Joe Mizuki joined the band shortly thereafter, and after a few successful concerts they went into the studio to record this album in May 1972.

In this chaotic time, many jazz musicians were exploring the "free form," and Takayanagi was a respected leader of that movement in Japan. Here, the group traces the history of jazz music by playing a swinging blues, a standard and a modal composition, before plunging into the "Free Form Suite" with three movements. An exciting and dynamic recording!

Produced by Takeshi Fujii. Recorded at the Aoi Studio, Tokyo, on May 19, 1972. Blu-spec CD is compatible with all regular CD players. Paper sleeve special limited edition.
