Description:Eden Atwood Concord Years SHM-CD Reissue Series!
Long out of print, this rare reissue CD is a gem for fans of vocal jazz!

American jazz singer Eden Atwood, who grew up and now lives in Montana, began her career in her early twenties in the great city of Chicago. This first album was originally released with a different title by Southport Records in Chicago but later purchased by Concord who released it widely in 1993.

In an eclectic and varied program and well-known standards and hidden gems, Eden is accompanied by a variety of Chicago-based musicians, including Laurence Hobgood on piano (known for his work with Kurt Elling) and Von Freeman on tenor sax, in various settings from a duet with piano to a big combo led by Jim Martin. Eden pays a tribute to her father and composer, Hubbard Atwood, by singing two songs composed by him, the title track and "I Was The Last One To Know."

Originally released by Concord Jazz in 1993. This SHM-CD reissue released in Japan by Universal in May, 2011. SHM-CD is a new CD formulation that offers superior sound quality and is compatible with all regular CD players.
