Description:Three Blind Mice Blu-spec CD reissue series! Limited paper sleeve edition!

Sunrise/Sunset is bassist Isoo Fukui's first album as a leader, but he had already established himself as the first-call bassist through his work in the Masaru Imada Trio as well as the now-famous TBM recordings with Tsuyoshi Yamamoto (Midnight Sugar and Misty).

The core of the "quartet" consists of Fukui on bass or cello, Kazuhiro Matsuishi on vibraphone, and Tetsujiro Obara on drums. The fourth player is either Shoji Yokouchi on guitar or Hideo Ichikawa on guitar. The album opens with Fukui's two originals; a vamp-based and moody "7th Avenue Sunrise" followed by a bouncy blues "Happy Walk" in which the leader takes the first solo on cello. A great album with cohesive group sounds that conveys the joy of playing jazz!

Produced by Takeshi Fujii. Recorded at Epicurus Studio in Tokyo on October 18 and 20, 1976. Blu-spec CD is compatible with all regular CD players. Paper sleeve special limited edition.
