Mastered by George Marino at Sterling Sound from the original analog master tapes and pressed at QRP!

One of the most popular, and perhaps the best sounding album of the great Oscar Peterson Trio with Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen. For this last recording for the Verve label, the trio decided to play popular songs of their time (the album was recorded in 1964), including two bossa nova tunes "Quiet Nights (Corcovado)" and "The Girl From Ipanema."

The veteran trio plays brilliantly throughout. The sound quality of this album (directed by Val Valentine and recorded by Bob Simpson) has earned a legendary status among audiophiles. Pay special attention to the powerful and delicate sound of Ray Brown's bass!

Recorded in October 1964 in New York. Originally released by Verve in 1964. This vinyl reissue released by Analogue Productions in 2011.
